About Me
Hey friends!
My name is Amanda. I'm a mother, a writer, a virtual traveller, and now a blogger. I started writing at the tender age of thirteen and quickly become obsessed with all things magical, thus, my first fantasy novel, The Incarnate, was born.
In 2015, after a few weeks in Brazil, I decided to complete the series, and am now on my journey to self-publishing my work!
However, like many, 2020 brought a lot of setbacks, a lot of pain, and reopened a whole load of old wounds that I thought I had already dealt with. Being a new Mother also meant that I had a whole new experience with life that I'd never even thought fathomable, so, like always, I wrote it down.
As I battled Post-Natal Depression, Body Dysmorphia, and crippling anxiety, I searched and searched for someone to give me the answer to "fix" me. When I realised there was no fixing, I decided to share my thoughts in the hopes that someone else feeling what I felt would be inspired to see the good days amongst the bad.
I founded The A Word with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and I am loving finally being able to live in the moment and enjoy the ride!
